Asian College of Teachers (ACT), leading teacher education in Asia, is a proud member of European Association for International Education (EAIE). With a membership from a reputed and globally recognised educational institution like EAIE, ACT aims to make the utmost use of this coveted association and reach the pinnacle of success through the continuous development and improvement of its programs and services by developing new high-standard courses and revising the existing ones by following the recent trends, bringing in the latest in pedagogy for the aspiring and in-service educators, working towards providing our students with the best placement support and many such concrete steps towards teacher training and education in Asia and beyond.
The EAIE,founded in 1989, is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. EAIE is working towards building an ecosystem where fresh ideas and best practices can flourish and shape the field of internationalisation. The EAIE is driven by a global team of dedicated experts in the field of international education who volunteer their time and skills to lead the Association. As a member-led organisation, EAIE provides a platform for learning, networking and knowledge exchange with its activities geared towards helping professionals succeed in their work. In other words, the international organization is dedicated towards promoting and driving responsible international education in Europe and beyond. ACT shares its vision with EAIE which is to create an equitable world in which international education connects diverse perspectives and fosters greater understanding and create a better world.
EAIE vision is an equitable world in which international education connects diverse perspectives and fosters greater understanding to create a better world.
EAIE mission is three-fold. We aim to enable the international higher education sector, demonstrate the impact of internationalisation, and influence and engage policymakers in support of their vision.
They are collaborative by nature and are committed to contributing to the global community in which they live and work.
They aim to be inspiring by being purpose-driven, enthusiastic and open to new opportunities.
They aspire to create an inclusive environment in which everyone feels welcome and able to contribute.
They strive for excellence and set the bar high in all that they do.
The current strategy is the product of an extensive collaborative process between stakeholders in the sector, volunteer leaders, members and EAIE staff. EAIE’s strength lies in the diversity of voices in our community which together help make us stronger and more prepared to tackle emerging issues as they develop in the education sector and the world at large. EAIE aspires to serve the education sector in the best way. This includes their approach to operational excellence that encompasses investment in people, efficient use of resources, and streamlining processes based on responsible, responsive and sustainable practices.
At the EAIE, their values drive them to play their part in contributing to a sustainable future for generations to come. Today, the impact of their community’s work extends beyond the walls of higher education institutions to the choices that they make. To show commitment, EAIE support two of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 Quality education and SDG 12 Responsible consumption and production. EAIE is also proud signatories of the SDG Accord, which is the higher education sector’s response to the Global Goals. It celebrates and advances the critical role that education has in delivering the SDGs and the value it brings to society at large.
Asian College of Teachers (ACT) undertakes a continuous review of its teacher training courses to ensure imparting high quality education. However, there might be circumstances outside of ACT’s control which might affect its stakeholders like if you are planning to teach in a different country, applying for a teaching license, pursuing higher studies or trying to get the certificate approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of a particular country then you can do so with the certificate issued by Asian College of Teachers (ACT). However, each country’s Ministry of Education (MoE) or educational bodies set certain standards that are indispensable for the pursuit of higher studies or teaching in schools in that country. So it can be a possibility that you may be able to use the certificate for higher studies or teaching purposes in one country and not in another. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you investigate thoroughly and check with the relevant authorities regarding the acceptance of the certificate issued by us before you enrol on a particular course. ACT strives to offer high-quality education and its certificates can be valuable for various purposes internationally, but still it is crucial for individuals to verify the specific recognition of the certificate in the country they intend to use it, especially for formal education or professional licensing purposes. This approach ensures that the stakeholders make informed decisions regarding their educational and career paths.
