Coming back after three years of break in my career, I had a great time attending the course. It was refreshing to begin again with lot of energy and hope. Well, it was an experience of a lifetime. We were not only being trained as TEFL teachers but also were experiencing what does a learner goes through while in the learning experience. Jhumur did a fabulous job as our facilitator and it was an eye-opener watching her take us right from the scratch to the level of a TEFL trained teacher. Well, the course structure is absolutely fine, but I feel there could be more practice classes so that we have more experience of teaching in real time. A canteen can be provided and there should be some sort of arrangements for the vegetarians.

It was very enjoyable experience and the environment was very friendly. Trainer made sure that we feel comfortable and clarified every doubt. Teaching practice was very effective and was well coordinated for the fist two days. Last two days were little far from the training center so it could have been near the institute. There should be a training center in New Delhi so that people from Delhi can join the course there. There should be an internship within India so that we can get some experience.

The 3 weeks course at ATI Kolkata was a wonderful experience where I got to learn about exciting new things and met very interesting new people (trainers, peers, learners. others). I chose ATI because it is internationally recognized and I wanted to do the course from a reputed institute whose accreditation is accepted worldwide. The experience was totally different. A good course to teach English as a language. My peers were very supportive. And Kolkata has a historical significance so nobody would be disappointed after coming here. TI wanted to go through a scientific, psychological English language learning course based on activity principle. So I chose ATI. Secondly, I had a desire of having monetary benefits out of it.

I wanted to do a course on TEFL and get acquainted with the techniques used in TESOL. It was very new and certainly went beyond my expectations. There were a lot of thing about language learning and language teaching which I got to know here at ATI Kolkata.
I was looking for a change. While surfing the net for education ideas I visited the TEFL website and posted my interest. Next day I received a call and as I was in Cochin, I visited the ATI office in Kolkata the next week. As I have been moving around and especially I fell in love with Thailand, their culture, their people and expect to work there. The experience with the trainer and staff was good; the course gave me an idea about the teaching experience for the beginners of English language skills being a novice of teaching for the first time.
I chose ATI to enhance my skills towards teaching English as a second language and for an international certification. The location is a peaceful one. Unlike other locations where the traffic does play a disturbing role, this one has been tranquil and composed. Ma’am Sangeeta has been excellent. She is motivated, passionate and zealous about her tasks at hand.
I chose ATI for an additional qualification. It was great though I found that the main base is of B.Ed only. But it was good.

Attending the classes and teaching young learners were really interesting. Including adult learning material can be more helpful.
It was a wonderful experience as the TESOL course took me to my good old school days. The sessions were full of fun and laughter; I wish the course could have been a little longer. Our trainer Anamika Mukherjee Ma’am was extremely helpful towards me and my batch mates. I chose ATI for new experience and challenge. I really enjoyed the course in Kochi, Kerala. I liked the teaching practice and have learned many new methods and techniques in teaching English in ESL class.
First of all it’s my land, Kerala, my native place. Compared with other institutions, fee structure is very attractive. Moreover, it satisfied my thirst for learning language techniques. The guidelines were very clear from beginning to end.
It was interesting to work with our trainer. I never felt anything strange and had a good experience.
ATI is an institute with international recognition and the only one offering TESOL in India at a reasonable cost as compared to the other institutes in the market. Location was good as Cochin is one of the most happening places of South India. There are a lot of interesting places to visit. Experience with ATI was a little disappointing. May be I did not do my homework well and found out what exactly the course offered and how useful it is going to be for me who wants to be an adult trainer particularly. The company website is very informative. Rachel was extremely cooperative and answered all our queries. The course content and materials were excellent. Ms. Sangeeta's teaching style and the methodologies explained were fabulous and exceeded my expectations. Teaching practice was the most useful part especially since I have no teaching experience. A screening process can be done before enrolling the candidates for the course. It would have been very useful if the session on phonology was a little elaborate. This is how the course can be improved. The infrastructure was overall good except for a little problem with the sitting arrangements. Overall, the experience was wonderful. I have learnt much more than what I had anticipated. The knowledge gained in this course is really going to enrich my whole life and help me to pursue my career as an English trainer.

Maybe a proper counseling needs to be done to those who want to join this course as people have a few misconceptions regarding getting a job once you finish the course because other factors also matter. People should also know why and what is the real purpose of this course.
The training facilities were overall good. However, a few improvements need to be implemented. I had a good experience with the training itself, however I personally felt there wasn’t proper understanding of how this course helps once certified. I feel there should be process in place for applying to this course and understand the objectives of application and their relevant background.

It was good. But I was expecting a little more. It should not get restricted to teach only those three lesson plan (basic, listening, reading). Along with a good trainer (language speaker) ATI should introduce some language tips (communication). It’s working more like a finishing school rather than a training center.

As how Pak showed in her teaching session, the first day, she taught us the basic Thai language vocabulary, a few greetings and some names of Thai foods. I found it hard to pronounce the words at first, as they are all very new to me but they are all really related to our daily life in Thailand, because most of them are street food names , which we encounter daily when we order food here. But after a few round of practices ,I pronounced them correctly. Afterwards, Pak divided us into groups and ask us to write a sentence in English and she will help us to translate it into Thai , afterwards we need to come out in front of the class and say it out in Thai, these kind of activities help us to put the Thai Language into a real life scenario. I think we could pickup a foreign language faster, as the words we learn is much practical and we have to demonstrate them in front of the class .As a matter of fact, what we learn can be useful in our daily lives and it will stay with us permanently. Special helping session can be provided on Saturday for those who had left

I had a good time as it was a huge diverse group. I could interact with everyone and learn more. I partnered my sessions with different people and it was great. But sometimes it was very hectic as I had to work very hard till late night. It's too hectic and gruelling. You should make it more interesting.
The truth is that the amount of teachers in the course, 30ish, including both site attendees and online trainees at the end, was good amount. Less or more would have not been ideal, but the 30 was a good number for both; my experience overall was strong and very useful for life. The truth is, both June and Pak gave excellent support and minor details will always be there, but we all have it as no one is perfect. Hence the overall experience was amazing and beautiful; we all learned so much!

I got a lot of experience during the input sessions. I learned a foreign language. I got more confident after the sessions. We had fun during the input sessions. We were tired when we had to go to teaching practice. I think maximum trainees in the class should be 15.
I could pursue what I desire for teaching-learning process. I had acquired knowledge and had self-confidence about ESL and EFL teaching. I got many inputs throughout the sessions and could do peer learning well. On teaching practice days at local schools, I could really apply the inputs given during the sessions. In my opinion, class size must be between 10 and 15 trainees so that all can learn in a more streamlined way.
The training journey was amazing, made better by our trainer and the support staff, as well as my peers. I was exposed to some multi cultural elements and learning and thinking styles, and learnt a lot about how different people all over the world think. It was truly and unforgettable experience. I think the course could cover a lot more than it did. We are still in the dark about a lot of practical aspects of being a teacher. I believe 3 weeks are not enough to cover it all, so maybe it could be made a bit longer. Whatever was covered, however, was done perfectly by our trainer and she put in every effort humanly possible to make sure we understand, as well as retain whatever was being taught. We could maybe cover course designing, test designing, etc, based on different levels of our target students.

It was an amazing experience. I already knew about the strategies and methodologies. I was looking forward to some more inputs required to handle a digital classroom with modern aids, activities to handle young adult EFL learners. However, I have learnt a lot from the other aspects like using theatre technique in classroom. The course is really comprehensive and helpful. However, it could be fine-tuned by including some more inputs about how teachers and trainers can handle different kinds of learners coming from different cultural backgrounds, using digital technology, modern aids in classroom, for example, using Oxford Headway as a digital content, developing confidence in trainers to handle classroom challenges, etc. Having said that, I believe the course was really insightful. I could brush up my fundamentals.
